Meet Our Tutors!
Kimberly
Kimberly is the founder. With a degree in English and an MBA, she also has over 10 years of experience in education. She has been honored with The Presidential Service Award for developing a STEM program for young women and have received many other commendations over the years from 2 former Presidents, governors and congressmen and women.
Helen
Helen studied Human Biology at UC, San Diego and then went on to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia for a Doctorate of Pharmacy. She kept on with her studies by doing a residency in ambulatory care medicine with the University of Minnesota. True to her love for learning, she found that among the many jobs she has had, she most enjoys being a student and teaching. Because when she teaches, she understands how much she has learned and how much more she has to learn. Fun fact — in the past year, Helen visited 21 countries!
Lizette
Lizette studied Mechanical Engineering at UC Irvine. She has many passions, such as climate solutions, empowering the younger generation, and making the world a better and brighter place. She has experience as a Mechanical Engineer, working in the healthcare construction industry to ensure that the larger hospital equipment maintains a safe temperature, humidity, and pressure for patients and workers. Lizette also has experience as a math and science tutor and STEM mentor for K-12 students.
Jenny
Jenny is a pre-med student at UC San Diego with a minor in Global Health. She plans to pursue a career in healthcare, specifically family medicine. As her first job, she tutored kids ranging from elementary to high school levels in math and reading, and remembers it as one of the most rewarding experiences she has had. She enjoys learning about biology and chemistry, as well as teaching it. Outside of academics, she enjoys exploring creativity by upcycling clothing, learning new instruments and skills, and traveling.
Matt
Matt received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UCLA and currently works full time as an Aerospace Engineer for Boeing. During his college years he also interned at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the summer of 2015. Matt has always had a passion for helping students learn and excel, specifically in the STEM field. His areas of expertise include mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, and robotics. Outside of work he enjoys working out and playing a variety of sports including racing motocross, golf, basketball, ping pong, and snowboarding to name a few. Additionally, he also loves to go hiking and traveling across the US and overseas.
